Baby Morphing

I went to thebump.com and used their Baby Morphing tool to see what our baby is going to look like. I just uploaded a picture of Justin's face and my face and it gave me a picture of our baby!

I'm not quite sure what to think...and I'm very confused as to why the baby has a bunny rabbit costume on?? Haha! What do you think?

Day 13- Goals

~Get out of retail and get a 9-5 job
~Save money-unfortunately, we're both very bad at this and need some major improvement!
~Become homeowners-someday, depends on the Army and if Justin stays in or gets out.
~Move closer to our families
~Find something I enjoy doing and go back to school

I have a short goal list for now because I've already crossed 2 major things off of my list. I have met, fell in love with and married the perfect man for me! We are starting our family!

Pregnancy

Recently (Nov 20) I found out that I'm pregnant! We are very excited to be parents and were a little surprised to find out I was pregnant. We started "trying" to get pregnant back in July when we moved to Texas. I use the term trying lightly because all I did was stop my birth control and continued on with our daily lives. I wasn't tracking my ovulation and all those things, we were just living life. When I took the pregnancy test the 2nd line was very faint and hard to see so I took a picture of the test and asked my Mom and my best friend if they could see the line. My friend said definitely. After all the "is it or isn't it"questions I bought another test, an early response test, because those would show a positive with a darker line. Poor Justin was so in shock he thought he was going to faint! I took 2 more tests (3 in total) and they were all definitely positive! I have my first doctor appointment on Dec 21 and I can't wait! Most doctor's won't see you until you're 8-10 wks along and when I found out I was only 4 wks (talk about finding our early)! I have experienced a few things these last 2 wks and they all seem to be very normal for the first trimester. I have been very tired lately and either taking naps in the afternoons or falling asleep on the couch while watching TV. Of course when Justin wakes me up to go to bed I can't fall back asleep, I hate when that happens! Also, my boobs are incredibly sore. Yes, they often hurt to the point that I will sleep with a sports bra on! I know, this may be a little TMI but it's the truth! I haven't been having any sickness yet, but not many things sound good to eat. There are some things, that when mentioned, make my stomach turn and I could vomit on the spot! It's the weirdest thing and Justin just doesn't understand. The last and most recent thing is headaches. Oh my they are some fierce headaches! I can't really take anything for them so I just have to tough them out. I've had a headache the last 4 days in a row and the only thing I've found that gives relief is to put an elastic headband on to help with the throbbing. The only catch to this is I have to wear it Rambo style or it doesn't work. I'm sure I look very attractive sitting on the couch in my sweats, glasses and headband, but hey, it helps! We've gone from calling the baby a poppy seed (the size at 4 wks) to a sesame seed (the size at 5 wks) to a manatee because if you look at the 2 tickers at the top of my blog, it kind of resembles a manatee! I'm excited for week 7 because then it starts to resemble a baby! I'm going to start making Justin take pictures of my belly so that we can see the progress. I'll probably start at week 8 since that's when my first appointment is. We can't wait for July and to meet Baby Hise!!

Day 12

Day 12- Something You Believe In

*I BELIEVE IN GOD AND THE POWER OF PRAYER- I never used to believe in these 2 things, but my Mom went through something awful 1 year ago from yesterday, and because of her prayers she's alive today. Also, for the past year everything we prayed for happened and put my Mom in a much better place now.
*I BELIEVE IN QUALITY OVER QUANTITY, ESPECIALLY WHEN DEALING WITH FRIENDS If you can count your true/close friends on one hand consider yourself lucky!
*I BELIEVE IN PATIENCE I sometimes lack this quality, but when I practice having patience it makes life easier to handle.
*I BELIEVE IN OUR COURTS AND JUDICIAL SYSTEM. Sometimes when you're in the thick of a situation and think everything's messed up, the courts will do their job and serve justice to those deserving.
*I BELIEVE IN OUR COUNTRY AND MILITARY
*I BELIEVE IN KARMA
*I BELIEVE IN LOVE
*I BELIEVE THAT EVERYONE COMES INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A REASON. Sometimes good and sometimes bad, sometimes to teach a lesson.

Day 10 & 11

Day 10- Something You're Afraid Of
Somethings I'm afraid of...
1. Snakes-they are just so damn sneaky and weird
2. Guns-well not the actual gun, but the sound of the gun. We have 2 of them and it's just not a sound you get used to!
3. Spiders
4. Staying in our apartment alone!
5. Dark areas
6. Car accidents-I've never been in one (KNOCK ON WOOD), but it's something that's always been scary to me
7. Cutting my dogs claws-LOL I'm always afraid I'll hurt him!
8. Cancer
9. House fires
10. My husband deploying

Day 11- Favorite TV Shows

Ohmygosh I watch a TON of TV and I watch the majority of it on DVR because I just can't be bothered with commercials, lol! My husband hates 90% of the shows I watch and he hates when I record them because if there's 2 recording at once he's either stuck watching one or has to go to the bedroom to watch what he wants! LOL, the compromises of marriage :)

Oprah
Real Housewives (any location, but New York is my least favorite)
Jereylicious
Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice
Real World
Real World/Road Rules Challenge (all of them!)
The Biggest Loser
Dancing With the Stars
Sons of Anarchy
Weeds
16 and Pregnant/Teen Mom
Sister Wives
Hard Core Pawn (pawn show, not porn!)
HGTV (not a specific show, love the channel)
Food Network (same with this one)
Border Wars

As you can tell from my list, I don't watch any kind of informational show. I like my TV mind-numbing and entertaining! When Justin and I watch TV together it's usually a prison show, extreme sports, or something else "manly"!

Day 9- Picture of Your Friends

I have some amazing friends, they are there for me through thick and thin. I can count on them for anything and we would all do anything for each other! There are some friends I don't have pictures of but they are still important to me and I love them all dearly! Of course I had to include a picture of my Husband and I because he's definitely my best friend!

Technical Error

I missed a couple of days of the 30 Day Challenge because every time I tried to log in I would get a service error. So, I have some catching up to do!

Day 6- A Picture Of Something That Makes You Happy

So the picture that makes me happy is of 2 positive pregnancy tests that I took back in November! Justin and I started "trying" to get pregnant back in July and about 4 months later we finally got a positive!! Baby Hise is due late July/early August and we're very excited for what our future holds!!

Day 7- Favorite Movies
I'm not the kind of person who watches movies at home very often, we don't even buy movies at all! We do go to the movie theater quite a bit though. When I lived on my own I had a few movies that were my favorites that I could watch over and over, but when I moved my stuff into Justin's some of had to go to storage. After being in storage for a little bit, someone broke into the unit and stole a TON of stuff, all of my movies included! I refuse to buy more movies and spend the money on them. When Baby Hise gets here I'm sure all we'll own is kid movies! Here are some favorite, in no particular order:
1. Legally Blonde
2. Any Given Sunday
3. Juno
4. Shag-my Aunts turned me on to this movie
5. The Sound of Music-been a favorite since I was little!
6. The Notebook
7. Eat Pray Love
8. Friday

Day 8- A Place You've Traveled To
I've been to quite a few places over my 29 years. Bahamas, California, Florida, Canada, New Orleans... I'd have to say I'd like to go back to New Orleans. There's just something about that city that's so amazing! When I went to New Orleans I was 21 years old and went with family and a family friend. We did the whole French Quarter thing, went on a swamp tour, gambled at Harrah's, etc. I'd love to go back and do some more sight-seeing with more money! There's just so much to see and do there that a long weekend just isn't enough time!

Whew! Now I'm caught back up on the challenge and will post tomorrow with Day 9! I'm pretty proud of myself for keeping up with this (kinda)!
